With the popularity of the Internet and mobile network, people get information faster, wider and more frequency. In recent years, due to the extensive development of the Internet, the number of P2P users grow rapidly because the growth of Internet users.P2P,called "bandwidth killer", used a lot of network bandwidth about 40% to 60%,in extreme case about 80% to 90%. And the key network link became congestion and other Internet applications' quality became lower. How to balance the ISP's and users'benefit has become the most important issue. This paper introduce how the OPT (Optimize P2P Traffic) System designed and implemented. This system's Characteristic is that it can get P2P client information and the cost between the P2P client and other network group by the optimization strategy and network information which collected by PSP before download process started. Then, the OPT system maintain the MP picture which used to record the relationship between P2P client and the network group and cost between the network groups. The method includes following steps:Firstly, the P2PTracker get the MP picture and the cost between the network groups;Secondly, the first P2P client send download requirement to the P2P Tracker;Thirdly, the P2PTracker find out the P2P clients which have the contents requested by the first P2P client in the local database. Then, send the address information that have a low cost to the first P2P client; Finally, the first P2P client connect to the other P2P clients that send by P2PTracker then download the content. This paper introduce the OPT system and main tasks as follows:1. It explains the theoretical background OPT system and P2P traffic optimization.2. Through the system functions and performance requirements of the analysis, explained the basic functions of the various subsystems.3. For each module, introduce the details of its design and database structure.4. Specific implementations of each module.5. Introduce the testing and test result.
