3D vision measurement technology is a kind of important method to obtain object 3D information. It is widely used in industry and real life for its advantages of high efficiency, high automatization and low cost. And the coding structured light 3D measurement method which has the advantages of high efficiency, high speed and no scanning is considered as the development direction of structured light 3D measurement technology. In order to measuring more exactly and quickly, the coding method and key technology and measurement system are researched in this article.The summary for 3D surface measurement technology is given first, so that the reason of the choice of my research topic is shown. Based on the analysis results for the other structured light coding methods, the approach of the common coding method by combining gray code with sinusoidal phase-shifting is studied. A coding by gray code combining with grey trapezoidal phase-shifting is designed and against the disadvantage of slow computing speed. Then the traditional periodic dislocation is solved by changing the correspondence between two kinds of codes.The mathematical model of each device in the measure system is researched in this paper, and the model for my coding method is designed. Then the measure system in the simulation and real are bought separately, so that the 3D measurement used the new coding can be further increased.In order to verify the correctness and effectiveness of the method of this article, simulation and real measurement are experiment by gray code combining with grey trapezoidal phase-shifting. The designed coding has been used to measure many kinds of objects after calibrating the system parameters. 3ds Max has been used to simulate measured environment and Matlab has been used to write calculation program. Experiment results indicate that error of the system in this paper is low than 1.5mm in the range of 1100mm, and the reconfiguration surface of the subject has good visual effectiveness.
