With the development of aeronautics and information technology, the construction and development of the satellite network becomes the inevitable tendency, which combines space technology with network technology. In order to make sure the complicated network can work independently, efficiencily and reliably and improve the existent ability, the self-verifying and self-updating ability are integrant. That is to say, the management should detect the faults, diagnose them and repair them timely and exactly and acquire the information quickly and exactly.In allusion to the characteristics of the satellite network and after doing some concrete research on the traditional fault diagnosis models and the fault diagnosis techniques in common use, a network fault diagnosis model based on dynamic management domain division is proposed, which consists of the network fault diagnosis model in the management domain and the cooperation diagnosis model between the management domains. In this sense, the distributed multi-domain network fault diagnosis is achieved. The expert system intended for diagnosing the network faults in the management domain is designed and simulated. The Trap mechanism and the native poll named polling on the agent are employed to collect the network fault information quickly. In order to improve the diagnosis efficiency of the expert system in the domain, a study mechanism based on the frequency of the network fault is put forward, which means that the network faults of high frequency in the management domain are firstly diagnosed and they can be focused.The technologies and simulation experiment platform and the results of the programs related to implement fault diagnosis system are presented and the results of real-time diagnosis in the management domain, the simulation diagnosis in the domain and the cooperation diagnosis between the management domains are involved.
