A mobile ad hoc network (MANET) is a set of mobile nodes with limited power which are capable of autonomous operations and cooperatively and spontaneously form an IP-based network via wireless links. MANET captures scenarios in which there is no or little infrastructure, or the existing infrastructure is discommodious or costly to employ. It does not depend on any fixed infrastructure or centralized administration. A node in the network communicates immediately with nodes within its wireless communication range, and using multi-hop route with nodes that are part of the MANET and beyond each other's wireless range. Unlike traditional networks with specialized nodes, i.e. routers, MANET manage packets forwarding. Instead each node in the network functions not only as an application node but also as a router forwarding packets on behalf of other nodes. The multi-hop routes alter with the topology of MANET, which may change fleetly and uncertainly.Due to the differences between MANET and traditional network, most protocols which is adapt to traditional network can not be immediately applied in MANET. However, security, address configuration and route are the key techniques which make the MANET be applied in actual.Based on the previous research results, we further study the dynamic address configuration and anonymous route in MANET. The main contributions are as follows:1. A dynamic address configuration based on threshold in mobile Ad hoc network is proposed. Nodes in the ip-based networks must firstly own their ip address to communicate. Dynamic address configuration is more suitable to mobile ad hoc network than static address because of the intense and uncertain dynamic of MANET. The lack of central administration complicate the address configuration, especially in an adversarial network consisted of malicious nodes partly. However most previous address configuration are based on the assumption that the nodes in the network are trusted that the performances of these address configuration can not be guaranteed in practice. On consideration the balance of security and performance and the inherent features of MANET, we proposed a dynamic address configuration based on threshold signature that the dynamic address configuration is of access control to thwart corresponding network attacks and high performance.2. We propose an anonymous secure multipath route protocol in MANET. Anonymous routing can efficiently thwart traffic analysis, which is one of the most serious security attacks in MANETs, and preserve privacy of network. It is not trivial to achieve secure routing in MANETs. Motivated by the challenges posed by anonymous routing in MANETs, and by the existing approaches for performing such tasks, we propose an anonymous routing protocol with multipath and necessary security based on Diffie-Hellman key agreement algorithm and symmetrical cryptograph. The proposed anonymous route protocol provides high anonymity to protect the privacy of network, and integrates necessary security functionalities against related attacks, such as DoS, wormhole and Rushing attacks.
