The technology about using radar to detect target under sea clutter has the important value of application in the military and civilian, it is necessary to acquire the complete and accurate radar echo data in order to detect target under sea surface accurately.As the video signal of radar echo is analog signal, so how to design a reliable system of radar echo data acquisition is the important prerequisite of target detection.Based on analyzing the characteristic of the radar echo and the requirement of system designed, the paper firstly analyzes detailedly the hardware platform and software platform for most important functional unit of the system– radar echo data acquisition unit in the background of the actual project. Industrial Personal Computer based on CPCI is choosed as the hardware platform.The data acquisition card is designed based on the CPCI. VxWorks is choosed as the operating system. Tornado2.2 is choosed as the platform of software developed. And then this paper presents the designed scheme of the data acquisition unit. Finally, according to designed scheme, the hardware platform, software developed and software debugging are realized.And the experimental result is analyzed and verified to prove the availability of the system.While using the high-resolution radar to detect target under the sea clutter, sea clutter range distribution model is diverse, a single technology of constant false alarm rate (CFAR) detection can not better detect target of sea surface. To solve this problem, this paper presents the method of an optimized CFAR detection. Firstly, this paper analyzes and makes a comparison in detail between the characteristics of sea clutter range distribution and CFAR detector. And then in connection with the experimental data of this paper, the statistical analysis is realized based on Matlab.It is obtained that the experimental data of this paper is in line with Weibull distribution model. At last, using VC to develop the software of radar images target detection, which is based on the the Weibull Log-t detector, Weibull OS-CFAR detector, optimized Weibull Log-t detector, and optimized Weibull OS-CFAR detector. Through the comparison of detection results on the quality and detection probability, it is obtained that Weibull OS-CFAR detector is the optimal detection scheme.
