With the development of the electronic technical and information science, there is miniaturization, intelligentized, systematization gradually in sonar system. The thesis, which made sonar platform, DaVinci technical, embedded Linux, Qt/Embedded together, designed an embedded small platform sonar system on TI's DaVinci platform based on imaging sonar system by making use advantage of them. For the special DaVinci's ARM+DSP dual-core architecture, the system can be built that ARM core controls the whole system and DSP core is in charge of the arithmetic processing of the sonar image.Firstly, the thesis introduces the system's hardware platform and software platform as well as their features and choice. As the same time, the resource and major function of the system platform has been developed. Secondly, it explains the principle and the method of the embedded Linux's development and migration. Then, it discusses the fundamental theory of the design of the USB mouse driver and DSP device driver. what's more, the key code of the driver program has been given. Finally, it describes the development of the embedded graphical user interface (GUI), which is programmed by Qt/Embedded. The embedded GUI can achieve the whole function of the designed embedded sonar system this thesis, which can be operated by the buttons in GUI system.The embedded small platform sonar system based on DaVinci platform has met the thesis requirement via the result of the system experiment.
