Spatial database has an important role in the geological model construction. Combining the geological drilling data of Zhaolou Coal Mine in Juye, thesis sets out to build a spatial database based on drilling data and to provide convenient and efficient data access services for three-dimensional modeling of stratum. Main research contents include the following:(1) Organization in the spatial data. Thesis organizes spatial data based on drilling data as the basic structure of quadtree, establishes classification mechanisms and update mechanism of spatial data. Metadata in Geographic Information System has been very extensive, but the metadata in the geological information has not yet formed an official national standard. The thesis explores metadata structure and content based on drilling data.(2) Optimization in spatial query. Based on advantages and disadvantages of the current series of R-tree structure indexing method, thesis gives improvement methods of R*-tree and designs hybrid spatial database index Technical R * I-tree, which leads strict space division of Quadtree into the R *-tree. While inserting spatial data item, R * I-tree pre-judges its neighboring spatial data objects and their location to guide spatial data object insertion by the mechanism of dynamic guide.(3) Experimental verification of algorithm. In the improved R *-tree, we verify that the query performance of optimized R *-I tree is better than R *-tree's by randomly generated 10 sets of orders of magnitude of spatial data entry, with the mean value method repeating tests of 100 times.(4) Data management system design and development. We develop data management systems, to achieve drilling data entry, query, management, and spatial query by connecting three-dimensional visualization display system.Based on spatial data organization and spatial data query optimization, thesis builds and develops database and data management system on drilling data. Through organization and storage of the original drilling data and three-dimensional structure, query optimization of spatial data is helpful to give full play to efficient application of drilling in coal production.
