The World War II has passed for70years. Although Germany and Japan are alldefeated nations, they have chosen different ways to develop themselves and theirattitudes to this war are completely opposite. In Germany, both government agenciesand ordinary people always show a responsible attitude, such as seriously apologize, compensation, professing democracy and Banning Neo-Nazi organization. Thesemeasures not only make Germany get rid of the past foreign policy leading to the war,but also push the establishment of European Union. In contrast, Japan is more andmore aggressive. Many problems, such as history textbooks, comfort women,Yasukuni Shrine and territorial disputes, make the country have a worse relationshipwith the neighbors and become the instability in East Asia. There are many reasons leading to the difference above, the thesis will have aresearch from three ways:(1) The two countries’ different attitudes and expressions.Taking time as the main line to analyze the establishment and development of the twocountries’ views of the World War II history.(2) Analysis of the causes that the twocountries have such a big difference on the attitude of the history of World War II.Make a comparison from the religion, occupying policy and geopolitical environment.(3) Show how the difference on the attitude of history influence the political and thenational. At last, the thesis will make a conclusion that if Japan want to live togetherwith neighbors peacefully, he must take history as a mirror and learn from Germany, try to gain the victim’s forgiveness.
