Zong Bai-hua was a great aesthetician in the history of modern Chinese aesthetic in the 20 th century.Early study in Germany,he had deep researched of Western philosophy and aesthetic, particularly in Germany of Kant, Schopenhauer, Goethe and others, thoughts. Therefore Zong Baihua’s aesthetic thoghts were influenced by western philosophy and aesthetics, especially the impact of German classical aesthetics.But Zong Baihua were imbued with the spirit of traditional Chinese culture deeply, he was focused on the study of China art,and presented his thoughts before and after the Anti-Japanese war.The research of Zong Baihua’s aesthetic thoughts has formed a hot spot of academic since two thousand years,while the academic circles’ studies at present lack of discussion about time cues of Zong Baihua’s academic, research about Zong’s aesthetic activities and aesthetic ideas during the period of Anti-Japanese war is weaker,and Zong Baihua’s academic transformation has been ignored.With Zong Baihua’s school experience, academic activities as the clue,This paper discusses about Zong Baihua’s academic development path, highlights the fact of Zong Baihua’s academic transformation during the period of the Anti-Japan war,longitudinally studies of the development of Zong Baihua’s aesthetic thoughts, and analyes Zong Baihua’s aesthetic thoughts during the Anti-Japanese war period in detail.This paper contains six parts.In the part of introduction,I will definite clearly “the period of Anti-Japan war” in the paper,summarize the previous research results and explain the research objects, research status and the way of thinking of this paper.The first chapter introduces the background of Zong Baihua’s academic transformation during the period of the Anti-Japan war,including the historical and cultural background and Zong’s personal growth and academic experience.The Chinese Nation was facing an unprecedented crisis in the Eight-year war. The war affected the academic path and academic thoughts of a large number of Chinese scholars, and influenced their paths of spiritual development, Zong is no exception.Zong’s final choice is due to his personal temperament and his academic experience in the special historical background.The second chapter studies Zong’s academic transformation from a philosopher and a poet to an experienced esthetician,and analyes Zong’s academic path from “western learning” to “Chinese learning”, including his emphasis on Western philosophy from the early research to deep study of Chinese philosophy, and his passion for Western art early turned to Chinese.The third Chapter mainly researches Zong‘s experienced aesthetics during the period of Anti-Japanese war.I think it is an important period of time to transform into a Chinese experienced esthetician,and to think profoudly about traditional Chinese art in the face of national survival predicament. With Zong’s aesthetic papers and a large number of Edited language published during the period of Anti-Japanese War,this chapter analyes in detail Zong Baihua’s aesthetic experience of Chinese traditional art,such as poetry, painting, calligraphy, music, dance, architecture, which makes an important contribution to the development of Chinese modern aesthetics, especially in the period of Anti-Japanese War.The fourth chapter studies Zong’s record of the war and his understanding in the Edited language of Xuedeng when he edited during the period of Anti-Japanese War,and his asthetic thinking closely related to the times in the context of the war through reviewing of a large number of first-hand materials. Faced with the collective consciousness and mental state of the national war, Zong Baihua experienced the unprecedented suffering of the nation. As a scholar, Zong also had felt the grief of the war and awaken the consciousness of Anti-Japanese War. Zong screamed directly for the national consciousness of the war in the numbers of Edited languages of Xuedeng, showing his sympathy of national destiny.The last part summarizes the academic road of Zong Baihua and the significance of the academic transformation during the period of Anti-Japanese War.
