| As one of the most powerful and influential overseas Chinese writer, Yan Geling’s new immigrant novels has gotten remarkable achievements.Thesis treats to the creation of new immigrant novels in America as the research object, starting from the point of view of Orientalism, to interpret the text, to investigate the relationship of Yan Geling and new immigrant novels and Orientalism, and further to analyse Geling Yan in the New Immigrant Fiction doctrine of the east to meet and deconstruction and Yan Geling on cultural exchanges between the East and the West fusion efforts.Thesis is composed of introduction and text. The introduction mainly includes on Yan Geling’s status in the history of Chinese literature and some nouns explain, in domestic and foreign academic circles on Yan Geling’s creation research survey and research method and the significance of the exposition. The second part discusses the influence of Orientalism on Yan Geling itself, and the influence on Yan Geling creation of new immigrant novels, including three aspects of theme, material, character and environment.In the third chapter, with specific texts, analysis her New Immigrant Fiction which reflecting the catering posture to Orientalism. The fourth chapter is mainly based on the text analysis of deconstruction of Orientalism in Yan Geling’s new immigrant novels. Yan Geling’s free writing in cross-cultural context, and focuses on out of the cultural conflict,pay more attention to the cultural exchange and communication. The conclusion part summarizes the causes and significance of Yan Geling’s new immigrant novels. |
