A Study Of The Aesthetic Thought Of Poetry In The Northern Song Dynasty

The language of Northern Song Dynasty poetry is continuation of changing tendency of the Tang Dynasty, reflecting the language style of the ancient Chinese prose, after initial shallow and rich to vigorous, dull and meaningful charm, tending to the implicit language expression.Changes of ethos of the times and poetic strategy has a direct impact on the linguistic features of poetry in the Northern Song Dynasty: from the early shallow responsory, gorgeousness allusion, the polishing of poetry, to promoting the simplification and bold style in mid-term; to plain and vast, ancient and elaborate, implicit and mysterious charm of the latter part. Northern Song Dynasty poets combine identity of the literati and Confucian scholar and integrate the Confucian vigorous and plain and refined style of Buddhism and Taoism into poetry, with the language changes from beauty of the poem tradition to vigor, simplicity, elaboration, mysterious charm,creating the poetry language style of Song Dynasty.This paper will be divided into three periods to study the specific development path of aesthetic thinking of Northern Song Dynasty poetry language: the early Northern Song Dynasty, the middle and late. Although the early Northern Song Dynasty’s poetry language aesthetic idea has new features and affect the formation of the Northern Song Dynasty poetry language aesthetic characteristics, more of that is the embodiment of the continuation and inheritance of the Tang poetry language, lack of independence.The mid Northern Song Dynasty poetry language built on the Confucian personality, with the characteristics of vigorous, heroic, plain, which compared with the initial is increased the strength of the character in poetic language, marking the Song poetry language independent.The poetic language of the late Northern Song Dynasty have much development in art, joined the polishing and conversion, so the poetry language is more full of muddy, implicit and plain.
