For thousands of years, the Tibetan people living on the Qinghai Tibet Plateau have created brilliant achievements, in which the monastic architecture of Tibetan Buddhism is one of religious cultural symbols all over the Tibetan Plateau. Since the introduction of Buddhism from India into Tibet in the fifth Century, The artists engaged in Buddhism had created large number of masterpiece and wellknown monasties with the devout religious belief, the thought of Buddhism and the excellent artistic talent. These temple buildings constitute a stretch of thousands of religious culture corridor in which containing the kind meaning and all universe, at the same time, the solemn and unique structure of the monasteries are persuaded by Tibetan buddhists who can feel the sense of spiritual power and wisdom symbol from the Buddhism. In Tibet, the monasteries are not only the cultural heritage site, but also the important carriers of Tibetan Buddhist culture. Tibetan monasteris not only runs through the whole process of Tibetan culture, but also closely relates to the lives of the Tibetan people.This paper mainly researchs the environment, the founder, the learning classics system of Gonggar Qude Monastery and the relationship with the other monasteries. The papaer the body part has five chapters in addition to the introduction and conclusion. The introduction part mainly introduces the purpose and significance of the topic, as well as the current situation of the study.The first chapter about the establishment of the monastery is divided into three sections. The first section starts to intorduce the nature and geography enviroment of the monastery and the historical backgroud while founding the Gonggar Qude Monastery. at the same time the second section mainly analysis and describes the deeds about the temple founder Gongga Nanjie from his family origin to learning experience. Lastly, the third section is mainly about the architecture of Gonggar Qude Monastery. Introduce the main hall of monastery, the classes of Buddhist studies, the residences of monk, the practicing holes, and the land and so on. Moreover the architecture styles, the main hall, the layout of the changes are made more detailed and reliable explanation.The second chapter makes further introduction about the monastic education and Buddhist activities of Gongga Qude Monastery.This chapter is divided into two sections.And the first section is about the Buddhist studies class, learning classics and class experitence.the second section is about the Buddhist activities in daily and in one year.The third chapter has of two sections. The first one introduces the history of five temples which were belong to Gonggar Qude monastery. And the second one is mainly about the religious relationship with the other monasteriesThe fourth chapter is consist of two sections.there are large number of unique relics and culture. In the chapter, it makes further explation the value and meaning of culture as the example of the frescoes and the Qam religious dancing.The last chapter firstly outlines the three stages of the monastery and makes more details about the social fuction of monastery under the new period and situation.
