The research method of This thesis is using Tolerance of ambiguity questionnaire and Chinese reading strategies questionnaire, and combined with individual interview of 102 intermediate and advanced students from YUNNAN normal university as the research object. Using social sciences SPSS17.0 statistical software for statistics and analysis of the collected data, aims at solving problems as following :(1) How are the level of the intermediate and advanced students’ Tolerance of Chinese learning ambiguity ?(2) Does the Tolerance of ambiguity relate to the cultural background of the research object?(3) How is the condition of intermediate and advanced students use Chinese reading strategies ?(4) Are there any differences between reading strategies in Chinese cultural background of intermediate and advanced students?(5) Does Tolerance of ambiguity relate to their Chinese reading strategies of intermediate and advanced students ?The results of this research:First, intermediate and advanced students’ Chinese learning Tolerance of ambiguity for medium high level; advanced students students’ Tolerance of ambiguity level is higher than the intermediate students.Second, there are significant differences between intermediate and advanced students’ Chinese learning Tolerance of ambiguity and whether they are ethic Chinese, there are no significant differences in gender and nationality.Third, the use of Chinese reading strategies of intermediate and advanced students is almost the same, but not reach the ideal state; there are big differences in the use of reading strategies of intermediate and advanced students..Fourth, there is no significant difference between intermediate and advanced students’ using of Chinese reading strategies and their nationality, gender, and whether Chinese;Fifth, all students learning Chinese Tolerance of ambiguity and there issignificant correlation between meta-cognitive strategies; intermediate students learning Chinese Tolerance of ambiguity and there is no significant correlation between reading strategies; Senior students’ Chinese learning Tolerance of ambiguity with Chinese there is significant correlation between Meta-cognitive strategy and Cognitive strategies, social emotions strategies.Based on the above study, this thesis put forward some Suggestions as following.First, to cultivate the students’ consciousness of fuzzy, strengthen knowledge accumulation of cultural background; Second, add students’ reading strategies training; Addition, improve intermediate students’ ability of autonomous learning,cultivating senior students spirit of cooperation. Finally, develop the students’ thinking ability in Chinese, form good reading habits.
