For a long time, the main function of televisio n that as the most influential way of communication is the mouthpiece. TV media is the government’s public opinion propaganda tool. In recent years,the TV cult ure as a kind of mass culture, associated with comme rcialization, has become a part of social consumption,with the advancement of reform and opening up and t he deepening of reform of market economy.Since then,TV entertainment consumption function has been highli ghted. In the TV field with fierce competition, some m edia people shouted out "bigger and stronger" and cre ated mass culture with elite power. TV “variety show b lockbuster ” come into being.As <The Voice of China> that a high cost, high yi eld, big production’s variety show blockbluster has achi eved unprecedented success, provincial satellite TV st ation in order to grab market shares quickly and make TV channel brand image have began producted a lot of TV variety show blockblusters with different contentsvarious forms. TV variety show blockblusters have mak ed in the blowout production boom.Against the hot phenomenon,this article combines the big social background and the development of ne w media era, through the television media developmen t demands and the audience consumption psychology of docking two angles to study the reason of TV varie ty show blockblusters’ hot phenomenon. On this basis,the deep thinking hot behind the phenomenon for the development of television industry problems. Looking f orward to having a positive significance for promoting t he innovation ability of TV mediaand the breakthrough development of second and thirdtier satellite TV station.
