1860-1927, the prolonged closure of the door is opened by fire, with the influx of missionaries, many kinds of new education rise in China, the new design education as an integral part of education, also grows up. During 1860 to 1927, there have been many new design education groups, organizations, institutions, whose founder are divided into the Qing government Westernization, Western missionaries, civil celebrities, gentry, etc. According to the founders,t this paper discusses from three perspectives, government-run, private and foreign office. However, in regardless of the founders, it is impossible that design education be away from the development of society and cluture. Collisions and fusions of local Chinese culture and foreign Western culture, providing fertile earth for modern design education to grow in China. |
