1927 - 1937 Nanjing Film Screening Industry Research

April 1927, Kuomintang government established its capital in Nanjing, and from 1927 to 1937, there was a stable period of regime in mainland of China which ruled by Kuomintang government, known as the " Nanjing Decade." In this decade, Nanjing’s politics, economy, culture had been rapidly developed. Nanjing film industry also had a great opportunity for development. This paper is trying to indicate and analysis the development and history of Nanjing film industry during the period from 1927 to 1937 by researching and analyzing the milestones of major events during Nanjing decade such as the news and articles which published in newspapers during Nanjing decade, the foundation of China education film association, the transform from silent film to sound film and the film revitalization campaign in the Republic of China. The writer uses "Central Daily " as a main reference and various types of articles from movie magazines as well as the related information from Nanjing archives as supportive references.
