The Chinese sentence without a subject is a special Chinese sentence pattern that contains no subject. By analyzing ASEM model interpreting, the thesis studies the major problems of Chinese sentences without a subject in consecutive interpreting.From the perspective of language differences between Chinese and English, the thesis analyzes the three major problems---information loss, logic ambiguity and disfluency through relevant examples, provides four interpreting skills of Chinese sentences without a subject---adding logical relatives, adding “it”,adding a subject and using imperative sentence, and apples these skills into ASEM interpreting. The thesis aims at helping interpreters interpret Chinese sentences without a subject better and improve the quality of interpretation. |
