"Asima" is a narrative folk epic has circulated among the Sani people, a branch of the Yi national minority, tells the story of Sani young people Ashima and Ahei fight against the feudal oppression for the pursuit of free marriage and happy life. Currently the number of the Yi language transcript of "Asima" is limited, and mainly the Chinese translations are popular in the literary world, which have been arranged and processed by contemporary writers, have some differences with Yi language transcript. There for, I translate and compile the photocopies of Yi language transcript of "Ashima", which I recently come into contact with and have not yet been full translated and collated and sorted.The article is divided into three parts, a total of four chapters. The first part is the first chapter, which introduces the research background of the Yi language transcript of "Asima", combes the history and the present situation of the sorting and research, introduces the overview of the existing Yi language manuscript and the specific Yi manuscript the article refered. The first chapter illustrates under the guidance of the theories of different disciplines, the research results of "Ashima" are significant. At the same time, as one of national precious ancient books, there are of certain significances to study the Yi language transcript of "Asima", using the theory of literature collation, translation and consolidation.The second part is the second and third chapter. According to the contents of the Yi language transcript."’Asima" is divided into two parts, the two chapters includes translation and annotation of two parts respectively. Each part also has subdivision, such as the second chapter includes "Preface" and "Asima’s birth" "Growth", "Bride-making" and "Bride-snatching"; While the third chapter includes "Ahei’s return" and "Catch-up", "Contest", "Echo" and "Epilogue", in order to provide convenient for reader to read and query annotation. As the translation of the Yi language transcript, first of all, according to the five characters sentence pattern features of the Yi language literature, I would make sentence segmentation and punctuation, then I would indicate the international phonetic alphabet beside the Yi language character, and translate word by word translation, paraphrase is the last process of translation. Proofreading is intended to point out the cases of missing words, redundant words, changed words and inverted words, also including the explanation of the difficult words, proper nouns, fixed phrases, ancient and modern words, written and spoken language, etc.The third part is the fourth chapter, which has an overall usage analysis of the text of Yi language, is the focus of this degree’s dissertation. Firstly collect and record the whole literature’s characters, count and summarize the frequency usage of all characters in the form of the chart; secondly summarize the meaning of the text, and list different meanings, including the original meaning, extended meaning and borrowing meaning, each meaning attach illustrative sentence for reading. To determine the categoiy of the meaning, "Yi text-Chinese concise dictionary" would be as the basis.The methods adopted in this paper are Literal translation, Paraphrasing translation, Reasoning Proofreading and Graphical method.
