A Study Of Folk Vocabulary In "The Book Of Yuan Dynasty"

Su Yu Kao Yuan is a small collection of the common saying of Li Jiantang in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China. In accordance with the vocabulary of folklore first strokes amount,they are arranged and are divided into 19 parts. The book includes 970 cases of folklore vocabularies, and references to the original literature source up to 400. It has an important folk, language and cultural values. Regarding it as a research material, I reorganize and check Su Yu Kao Yuan. I mainly uses the theory of the vocabulary of folklore and folk etymology, combining sociology, social linguistics, dialectology theories and research methods, and make comprehensive study of it. Author’s life, writing background and publishing time, book version, they have nothing to do with the study of the vocabulary of folklore. So it is only mentioned in the introduction, not for specific analysis.The text on the vocabulary of folklore in Su Yu Kao Yuan, test the original features and the development, is divided into four chapters. The first chapter introduces the overview of macro folk vocabulary in the book. First of all, the author summarizes the four kinds of test the original style of folk vocabulary in Su Yu Kao Yuan, as well as the original test method. Then, the author describes the methods and characteristics of the overall appearance of the origin of the research. The second chapter researches the source of the vocabulary of folklore in Su Yu Kao Yuan from three angles of content, time and source, and analyses the folk etymology, and summarizes the vocabulary of folklore in Su Yu Kao Yuan in the three aspects of phonetics, semantic and pragmatic features. The third chapter of the book in the vocabulary of folklore development variation details analysis of the development and change of the vocabulary of folklore in the book. In the aspect of morpheme, they have changed through form of homophone substitution, synonymy and other replacement replacement. In terms of structure, the changes of contraction, expansion and embedding are occurred. In the semantic aspect, there is a change in the coexistence of death and inheritance. The fourth chapter of the book in the vocabulary of folklore deficiencies were discussing dialectical, from four aspects of pronunciation, writing, style and other issues, focusing on to test the original style were specific and detailed research.The conclusion summarizes the research results of this paper, and look forward study on the prospect of folk etymology.
