Viewing the constantly spring up of original dance works in China, although breakthroughs has been made on perspectives and conceptions, the observers can still find some “Deja vu” in their body representation. This "deja vu" can also be seen in the classrooms. Maurice Merleau-Ponty once said: " The habit of learning dancing is the grasp of movements in sense of move." However, how can we find a scientific, proper and applicable way to avoid these similar body gestures in dance? How can we break down the action inertia in dance and present our dependent individual dancing language? These questions are the core proposition of this thesis. The thesis aims to help choreography learners to break down the simplicity of body movements and the limitation of creation, and then they can make innovation on their bodies and thoughts. In choreography, the "breaking and creating" on the action inertia is not only a challenge for the old works and thoughts, but also a proof of the current dancing innovation; it is not only the re-structure of individual body, but also the brand new combing of personal thinking. "Breaking and creating" indeed is a dialectical unification relationship, "breaking" lies in the breakthrough of the action inertia while "creating" means to establish new creative thoughts and actions based on the "breaking". The breakdown of action inertia comes from practice and also applies to the practice. Feeling the flow between body’s ups and downs and heart’s rises and falls, we will seek the innovation from the dialectical and unification "breaking and creating".
