The development of vocational education reform in our country has made great achievements since China’s reform and opening up. With the rapid development of higher vocational education, vocational education has become a powerful booster for economic development. Especially in recent years, due to a series of favorable policies, the higher occupation education has good situation in the school size, school level and the exploration of vocational education development. Based on the mode of“aiming to job-hunting and developing ability”, professional courses are paid more and more attention, which gradually realize the connection between study and utilization. Therefore, various colleges achieved remarkable results with their own characteristics. But in the aspect of basic subjects, Chinese language education has an awkward situation. Some vocational colleges either directly canceled the language course in curriculum system or set practical writing instead, which increases the marginalization of language education. In view of this situation, this article will take Yunnan Technology and Business University for example to analyze the present situation of Chinese education and explore how to carry out the Chinese education in Yunnan private vocational colleges from the point of private vocational college. The main content will be divided into three parts:The first part is the overview of private applied vocational colleges. It will review the history of vocational education development, and illustrate the status,characteristics and function of vocational colleges. Finally, it will put forward the ways to locate occupation colleges and to break through the bottleneck of the development from the current situation, which will step into the track of healthy development.The second part is about the investigation of present Chinese education. It will take Yunnan Technology and Business University, the private applied vocational colleges, as an example to analyze the present situation of Chinese education, the basic situation of Yunnan Technology and Business University and to analyze the existing problems and reasons by using the method of case analysis from general to special, from the macro to the micro.The third part will refer to the reform ideas and measures of Yunnan Technology and Business University. First of all, clear reform ideas will be formed combined with the characteristics of Yunnan Technology and Business University.Then, fixing the Chinese education and clarifying the content; secondly, putting forward measures to deal with the problems of Yunnan Technology and Business University from the four aspects: revising the talents’ training scheme, developing the school-based teaching materials, carrying out the characteristic teaching and adjusting the evaluation model. Through active exploration and beneficial attempt, the purpose of the thesis will be how to cultivate the students who have good occupation skills,good attitude, good spirit, good moral and good behavior. At the same time, it will accumulate some experience of reform for the breakthrough of the private applied colleges.
