Cultural heritage is a valuble asset for people, protecting and inheriting it is an important and urgent thing, especially for those cultural heritage which facing extinction. Nowadays, with the development of science and technology, especially the digital technique’s grown up, cultural heritage’s digital record, representation,protect and inherit become ture, as well as the cultural heritage’s change from appreciate to spread. To protect and inherit the cultural heritage, it should not only improve the way of protecting, but also should enlarge the subject; not only focus on the effectiveness of the protection, but also pay attention to the inheritage of cultural heritage. Participatory Video ensure the real recording and conscious inheritancing in the part of protecting and inheriting the cultural heritage. It recrods the current situation more directe, microcosmic and real, thus, during the image creating, people will focus on their cultural heritage, then improve their sense of responsibility. In the spectical society which shaped by mass media, participatory video record the cultural heritege from emic perspective, and add the insufficient of mass media.This paper shows a point: cultural heritage landscape which made by participatory video is a kind of supplement and correction of the landscape which made by mass media.In this paper, it uses “Yunnan&vietnam Community Based visual Education and Communication” as an example to analyze theories, and except for the introduction and conclusion part, the contents section is devided into five parts:First one is the way of video shows. As a kind of measure of cultural heritage protection, video has different images in landscape society. And participatory video is more suitable for cultural heritage protection;Second, in the pression of cultural heritage, participatory video is in a station of emic perspective, while other videos are mostly in a station of etic perspective. For the protection and inheritance of cultural heritage, they have different functions;Thirdly, based on “the other” position in visual anthropology “emic perspective” theory to analyze the main body of participatory image;Forth,participatory video is a kind of supplement and correction of the landscape which made by mass media;Fifth, although the participatory video has advantages in protection and inheritance of cultural heritage, it also have problems. So this paper will propose solutions by analyzing practical issues.
