Shi Tao is an excellent painter in the river of Chinese painting history. He has played an important part in painting history, not only because of his distinctive style of painting, but also benefited from his aesthetics thought of "Yi hua". The aesthetics thought of "Yi hua" can be called classical theory in Chinese aesthetics history, that is rich in content and of great significance.It has a great effect on the painting of the later Qing Dynasty, especially on the art of Chinese painting and calligraphy nowadays. The aesthetics thought of "Yi hua," a complete aesthetic ideology theory system, which includes not only the center art theory like "The quotations of bitter gourd and the monk", but also the creative art thought of painting and calligraphy that is under the guidance of it. The theory of art and the creative thought of panting interact and seep each other, then both of them develop and improve together at last. Finally, the classical aesthetics thought of "Yi hua" comes into being. It has been shining like the flame of jewel since it came into the world. What’s more, it has a pretty obvious influence on the painting at that time, as well as contemporary art. Therefore, it has a very important practical significance to synthetically study the aesthetics thought of "Yi hua", which is formed three hundred years ago.This paper has collected a large number of related literature and records, as well as picture information, then analyze the aesthetics thought of "Yi hua", also discuss the origin, art theory and the aesthetic thought of “Yi hua”, as well as it’s important significance at that time and contemporary step by step. Among them, in the concrete discussion of the aesthetics thought of "Yi hua", the ways of multilevel, multi-angle and systematization have used into it, in order to correctly grasp the meaning of the aesthetic thought of “Yi hua”.
