As the emergence of more and more Industrial Subcontracting and Temporary Workers, a small number of people are beginning to control the most labor division, duration of product research and development is gradually being condensed, the organizational structure is being largely "networked", as a result of which Temporary Teams are increasingly common. Under the background of globalization, a new form of temporary organization-Virtual Team is also gradually gaining the public attention. In the construction and development of either conventional team or temporary team, trust is of crucial importance. In the studies of temporary team trust, however, scholars disagree with each other about the concept and positioning of Swift Trust. Viewing the swift trust in temporary team as another form of trust that is different from cognitive trust, this paper studies the difference effects of in-group bias that is closely connected to swift trust on the two forms of trust applying the method of empirical study, so as to prove that those two are trust in different stages and to further analyze the relation between swift trust and cognitive trust and between trust and risk.First, the author proves that individual in a temporary team will show in-group bias with his team members who are from same school with him with two experiments: dictator game and implicit association test (IAT). Second, the author proves that in-group bias has different effect on swift trust and cognitive trust with the method of vignettes research. In this phase, the examinees are required to complete two tasks:to assess their perceived risk and there trust to the three team members according to the provided information of the task and the members; the examinees are required to make risk evaluation and task evaluation concerning the character’s behavior and the new task under the given context in the second phase. Meanwhile the author collects the examinees’evaluation information through in-group bias questionnaire, questionnaire on cognition of the trustee’s ability, integrity and benevolence, Perceived Risk questionnaire, Trust belief questionnaire, Trust Intention questionnaire. The research result shows that:(1) examinees show no significant difference in allocation of in-group member and out-group member; (2) the difference in the examinees’reactions under compatible and incompatible conditions are extremely apparent, the implicit effect is remarkable; (3) Subjects in group preference slightly higher than the average level in the middle; (4) there is significant positive correlation between trustors’in-group bias and Trust belief, and between Trust belief and Trust Intension; (5) in the stage of cognitive trust, there is significant positive correlation between trustee’s ability, integrity and benevolence and trust belief, while the relation between in-group bias and trust belief is not apparent; (6) trust intension in the stage of swift trust has positive prediction function on the trust intension in the stage of cognition trust; (7) in the stage of swift trust and cognitive trust, risk levels to be taken in the team relation all have negative prediction function on the trust intension in cognition, but there is no difference among the cognition risk levels under the context of E-mail communication and instant communication. The experiment result shows that the effects of in-group bias on swift trust and cognitive trust are different. The two belongs to different trust forms. Individuals will give positive evaluation on the group he is in, acknowledge his team members and form in-group bias for them. Before the team members communicate with each other, individuals will estimate each other’s reliability based on the in-group bias that is formed. However, when individuals get enough basic information about the team members, they will form cognition about team members’characteristics, which in place of in-group bias formed in the stage of swift trust will become the basis for the formation of cognitive trust. In temporary team, team members view the task as their guidance. They pay more attention to the ability of the team members which they see as the required element in realizing the goal of the team. During the course of transformation of trust in temporary team, the role of swift trust can’t be ignored. Swift trust will continue to cause significant impact in the stage of cognitive trust, will somehow transform into cognitive trust. The risk level will also significantly influence the trust level of the team members through the whole process of the team development.
