On The Identity Of "Jianghu Poets" In The Southern Song Dynasty

Southern Song Dynasty poet Yue Leifa has rarely mentioned in the history of literature, but as an outstanding poet of Jianghu -scholer, he also has its own unique position. This paper attempts to let Yue Leifa issued to the background of the Song Dynasty literature, from the four part to explain his thoughts.The introduction of the paper presents us Yue Leifa’s life experience and the spread of his works.Contemporary people speak highly of him and his works tell us his important position in the literary world at that time.Modern and contemporary scholars pay close attention to his literary thought also tells us the importance and influence of his literary thought. But,the evaluation of predecessors’to Yue Leifa’s literary thought are too scattered and disordered,not a complete system.The paper try to collecte his literary thought from all kinds of his works,and be classified and analyzed,then we can find out his whole literary thought.The first chapter is about the basic situation of Yue Leifa,including experience,family background,social contacts and the origins of his thought. Yue Leifa was born in a literary family, he is not used by the imperial court because of his integrity.Finally,he retired and live in the mountain of JIUYI as a teacher.JingChu romantic culture and HuXiang culture have far-reaching effects on him.The second chapter is about Yue Leifa’s political ideal and the country sense of Jianghu-School. Yue Leifa poses as a Neo-Confucianist of his life.He set forth "Educate the people with kindness" in his work Number One Scholar.He respected " Neo-Confucianism", and illustrates the saying of his orthodoxy from his life, and made a number of political ideas based on" Neo-Confucianism ". Yue Leifa’s political ideal is an important performance of Jianghu-school’s country sense.The third chapter is about the literary ideology of Yue Leifa.His thought included several sides of content.First of all, Yue Leifa thought that the articles and poetry should regard "dao" as the core.He thought the article should not only pay attention to the pursuit of gorgeous full diction and ignore the content.The second one,the style of the text show the writer.Yue Leifa believe that only the honest people can write good works.The last one,Yue Leifa spoke highly of the ease and light,which was the style of classic Chinese poetry in Song Dynasty. The background of times have deeply effected on him,and he created many poetry which had the beautiful style of ease and light.The fourth chapter is about Yue Leifa’s differences with Jianghu-Scholer. Jianghu-Scholer is a unique group of the Southern Song Dynasty that can not be ignored.They have no unified theory of poetry and literature thoughts,members of the school were complicated and they have a variety of poetic style.Yue Leifa have much in common with Jianghu-Scholer but also has many different characteristics.
