A Study On The Poetry Of Jianghu Poet Li Gong

Li Gong is a classic Jianghu poet in the Southern Song Dynasty.He was addicted to poetry all his life.He loved wine and plum,making friends and travelling,and was not keen on being an official.Li Gong has written a lot of works.His main works include the the collection of poems made up of lines from varied poets,"Plum Blossom Ana",the collection of poems of Tang Dynasty,Jianxiao Collection" and the collection of poems of Tang Monk,"Hongxiu Collection of TangMonk".Li Gong has 557 poems,all of which can be found in "All Song Poems".This paper takes Li Gong,a Jianghu poet,as the research object.Through detailed analysis and interpretation of Li Gong’s poetry,it summarizes the unique style and characteristics of Li Gong’s poetry,in order to objectively evaluate Li Gong’s literary achievements.Besides the introduction and conclusion,the thesis is divided into four chapters:The first chapter gives a detailed introduction to Li Gong’s life,friends and works.By using the ancient books,this paper makes textual research on the life information of Li Gong,such as the year of his birth and death,his name,his ancestral home and the place where he was buried.And introduce Li Gong’s literary works in detail and sort out the circulation of his editions,so as to provide the necessary premise for the study of his thoughts.The second chapter studies Li Gong’s poetic thought and aesthetic tendency.Through the prefaces and postscripts written by Li Gong or others,this paper analyzes Li Gong’s three major poetic thoughts:affirmation of the educational function of poetry,inheritance of the theory of feeling things and reciting aspirations,implementation of the obscene language against Chinese poetry,utilization of Li Gong’s poems or collections of poems,Li Gong’s aesthetic tendency of pursuing tranquil and elegant,preferring small and thin,and expressing his passion and frankness is analyzed with examples.The third chapter analyzes the theme orientation of Li Gong’s poetry.On the basis of the first two chapters,this chapter carefully reads all the existing poems of Li Gong,and analyzes the emotional contents of his poems.Because the content and emotion of Li Gong’s poems have overlapping parts,they are divided into four categories according to the theme orientation,and a comprehensive and systematic analysis is carried out to ensure that the vast majority of poems are included.The fourth chapter analyzes the artistic features of Li Gong’s poems.This chapter summarizes the artistic features of Li Gong’s poetry into four points:from the perspective of genre,Li Gong prefers close style and he was good at writing seven unique five laws;From the perspective of language style,he was good at using images,and his poems often showed the gas of vegetables and bamboo shoots(which means The special tone and habits of monks);From the perspective of technique,Li Gong was good at combining the senses to make the description of poetry meticulous;He is also good at skillful use of color,which make his poetry life-likeness and visualize.
