A Study On The Overlapping Form Of Chengxian Dialect In Gansu Province

Reduplication is an important word-building means of chengxian dialect, which has been widely used in dialect studying. The paper based on field survey method, comparative research and achievements of predecessors’ reference method, from the forms, grammatical functions and expressive features three aspects which gives a comprehensive and detailed analysis of the Reduplication Patterns in ChengXian, tries to reflect the dialect phenomena appearence objectively and comprehensively.In content, the whole paper can be divided into five major parts. Use the word categories as a breakthrough point, according to chapter describes respectively, and the chapter two, three, four is the main part of the paper.The first chapter is mainly to introduce the history, the ownership and the present research status of ChengXian Dialect.We also briefly introduced the research ideas, research methods, research significance and marking methods of this article.The second chapter study the overlapping phenomena of noun. There are eight basic types in ChengXian dialect. After the overlapping, grammatical function mainly as the subject and the object,and also can make the predicate, attributive and adverbial. Overlap is usually used with"er", In Chinese language,"er" means"small", when used together with overlap,it can strengthen the means of’small", and inerease the commendatory sense. It also have the function of the modification and supplement.The third chapter study the overlapping phenomen of verb. There are seven basic types about ChengXian dialect. After the overlapping, grammatical function mainly as the subject and the predicate, and also can make other ingredients,ABB and AA even can make sentence by itself. It express the short meaning of time, and has tried to express the relaxed emotion.The fourth chapter study the overlapping phenomen of adjectives. There are about ten basic types about ChengXian dialects.After overlapping grammatical function mainly as subject, object and adverbial.It has the meaning of degree change and mixed the emotional reviews.The fifth chapter study the overlapping phenomena of other parts of speech in the ChengXian dialect. This part of the contents are including adverbs, quantifier and onomatopoeia words. Because this part of overlapping form is relatively single, so we mixed them up. In this section, we discusses the each type of word from forms, grammatical functions and expressive features.In the conclusion,the article has carried on the summarization about ChengXian dialect, we can find that in the scope of the words, making forms, grammatical function and expressive features etc,all show the local features.of ChengXian dialect.
