Agota Kristof is a woman writer of Swiss Hungarian. Evil Child Trilogy is the representative work of Agota Kristof, which is combined by her three French novels Le Grand Cahier, La PreuveLe, and Troisieme Mensonge. Evil Child Trilogy is a series of tragic stories in the background of the Second World War and the Cold War in Hungary. The three novels are coherent in plot, but have different characteristics in genre, structure, and narrative angle. So they can be seen as three separate narrative text, or an integral story at the same time. Agota Kristof is a novelist with self-conscious pursuit in the art of fiction.
