A Study On The Works Of The Sixth Generation Directors With Rock Elements In The Perspective Of Deconstruction

In 1990s, the sixth-generation film directors set their early movies in that transforming period of modern China and collectively incorporated rock elements in movies in various ways. As a result, the overall form of these films tend to be "rock" and present a unique form and style. I referred to these films as "the sixth-generation film directors’ rock elements works".On the basis of Derrida’s "deconstruction" theory, the study examines the texts of the sixth-generation film directors’ rock elements works to explore how the rock elements with rebellious temperament be combined into films by these directors to fight against traditional film concepts and deconstruct senior directors’ arts express means.
