The study of Uyghur Buddhist terms is an important study relating to philology, religion and many other subjects. So far, some scholars had engaged in this area and achieved quite many results. This paper firstly sifts through terms from Uyghur-Chinese contrasitie version which was published by Jens Wilkens in 2007; secondly, from the prospective of terminology, it gives a detailed description to the types of structure, the formation models, sources of terms and semantics using synchronic, comparative methods and semantic analysis. It consist of three chapters (excluding the introduction), and appendices which cotain the comparision of Uyghur-Chinese Buddhist terms which were choosen from the manuscripts. Introduction part includes presentation of theoretical research, research methods and current reaserch situation. Current research situation is stated from two aspects:one is the exploration on Uyghur Buddhist terminology; the second is phlological study on Ksanti Qilguluq Nom Bitig.Chapter Ⅰ is a detailed classification of Buddhist terms in the manuscripts. According to scholars’classification, Ⅰ devided these terms into three major categories:one is the terms of Buddhist teachings; the second is the terms of Buddhist discipline; the third is the proper name of Buddhist deities and its system. The structures of the terms are devided roughly into two major types:one is simple-structured terms; another one is phrase-structured terms.Chapter Ⅲ is the corresponding relation between concepts and vocabulary of terms. Although in the works of terminology, it is strictly required to avoid the using of polysemic and synonymic terms, due to the various usages of translator, there are a few of polysemy and synonomy appeared in this manuscript.
