A Study On The Etiquette Culture Of Huarui Tibetan

Everyone is doomed to go through the path from birth to death. Birth is not selectable while death is avoidable. A member of rituals with some fixed modes can witness a person’s birth, growth, and death. The Chinese carry on some important life rites from generation to generation, which form a complete set of life etiquette custom. The life etiquette customs are not exceptions in Huarui (dpav-ris) Tibetan areas. As a kind of cultural phenomenon those life etiquette customs still play important roles in modern life, for they are the reflection of social material life and the national psychology. A research on the Cultural life etiquette in Huarui Tibetan areas can explore and understand the history of the heroic group which had close relationship with the ancient Tibetan royal family as well as other ethnics.Referenced on the predecessors’research, especially Professor Zhong Jingwen’s study on life etiquette, the current study researches the present situation and features of the life etiquette culture in Huarui Tibetan area with the research methods of field investigation, literature research and comparative research. It aims to document the disappearing Huarui Tibetan life etiquette.The whole article can be divided into five parts. The first part is the introduction of the article, which points out the research significance and the current research situation, as well as some theories and methods on the research of Tibetan life etiquette. The second chapter introduces the background of the emerging of the life etiquette culture of Huarui, such as the natural environment, production environment and social cultural environment, which can help the reader to understand the history of Tibetan life etiquette culture.The third chapter illustrates and analyses Huarui Tibetan life etiquette culture from birth, adulthood, marriage and funeral aspects. The next chapter summarizes the characters of Huarui Tibetan life etiquette culture. Chapter five compares Huarui Tibetan life etiquette in the ancient time and in modern time and analyzes the factors that lead to the changes. The last part points out the problems in the process of modernization and some suggestions to solve these problems.
