A buzzword is a language form that is wildly used among the certain group of people and under the certain period of time and has the characteristics of popularity, high-frequent-usage, creativity and so on. This article takes "the top 10 buzzwords" which released by Excessive Wording from 2008 to 2013, as studying object, aiming at researching current Chinese buzzwords under the aspect of memetics. The process of memetics spreading out through language is called Memetics of language. In this process, memetics, will evolve itself to a intensified memetics which has a higher fidelity, proliferation and long lasting span to achieve better acceptance by speakers.A buzzword is one kind of intensified memetics.From the developmental history of memetics, we can draw a conclusion that the application and the communication of language itself contributes to the appearance of buzzword phenomenons. As buzzwords gradually influence people’s cognition through massive social attention caused by mainstream media and tremendous response to social issues, people in return adapt it by the law of economic efficiency to a more simplified, better-understood and well-purposed communicate tool. From the perspective of science meme buzzwords can be divided into memes propagate genotype and phenotype spread memes. Genotype can be divided into two identical forms of dissemination of the same information and dissemination of the same information in different forms, and the latter has a greater impact on memes spread. Meme phenotypes can be divided into the lateral grafting homonyms, and the same shape lenovo grafting and grafting isomorphic different meaning, among different meaning laterally homogeneous grafting of buzzwords memes propagate the greatest impact.
