“That all the laws of Chinese characters are manifested in the Xiaozhuan body is the final stage of the transformation that drawing characters were becoming bone inscriptions and bronze inscriptions. It not sums up all the laws and development trend of Chinese characters but also embodies the whole spirit of the Chinese characters structure.” Shuowen Jiezi of Xu Shen has collected 9353 Xiaozhuan characters and creatively classified them by their radicals. The book analyzed the Chinese words by their character pattern and literal meanings and make the later generations recognize Xiaozhuan. It is also a key to identified the earlier ancient text glyphs. Shuowen is not only a book about words, but also a valuable ancient cultural heritage, which reflects the ideology, political, economic and cultural life of ancient Chinese people.Known as a pioneer of the exegesis, Erh Ya included more than 4300 words and 2091 entries, and was organized according to the their meanings. Erh Ya is the father of Chinese dictionary covering a wide range of integrated content. During Wen emperor of Tang Dynasty, Erh Ya was included by the Confucian Classics. However, Erh Ya is not a classic or dependency of the classic. It’s an independent dictionary and people can use it to read classics, understand classics and know the ancestor’s life and the social life in our ancient time.In this paper, I take Shuowen and Erh Ya as research objects and it will be divided in five sections: The first section is the introduction which introduces the relation between sacrificial words and ritual sacrifices culture.
