Fang Yue Poetry Collection Note

Fang Yue is not only a famous poet in later Southern-song Dynasty but also one of the important representatives of Jiang Hu poetic group. The Synopsis of Si Ku Quan Shu mentions that “poetic reputation of Fang Yue is as famous as contemporaneous poet Liu Kezhuang.”However, for a long historical period, the paper study about the poet and his poems is little. In classical documents research, The Collation and Annotation of Qiu Ya’s poetry is the only book about annotation study of Fang Yue up till now, which is written by Qing Xiaocheng(hereafter referred to as The Qing Zhu). The Qing Zhu is clear and simple, but there are lots of errors and omissions. And it focus on that “production background, figure, landscape,civilization, folkways and the meaning, subject of poetry”, namely, it pays attention to contents about regional culture. It is very distinctive rather than professional and not good annotation master copy for reader and researcher to choose. The paper is focused on the poems annotation of Fang Yue. Based on above previous research results,adding Fang Yue’s social intercourse, chronology, historical materials, allusion source and so on. This paper corrects many mistakes and adds a lot of omissions in order to provide basic materials for later researchers.This paper is divided into four parts: preface, explanatory notes, annotation, appendix.In the preface, it first provides a brief introduction to the life, thoughts, poetry, poem features about Fang Yue. Because it has master’s thesis have done the research, the part is simple and generalizable to provide a general sense about poet for reader.In the explanatory notes, it emphasizes the master copy of the annotation paper and compilation style. It begins the following parts.The part is the main body of the paper. It is mainly to solve the problems of The Qing Zhu. On the one hand, I stipulated the annotation style, proved its allusion source and added annotation related to figure, places, history, custom, case, object about these poems. I tried to do the real academic research. On the other hand, based the essence of previous studies, I looked out for the annotation of The Qing Zhu and corrected its errors.In the final part, I wrote up a report of correcting errors about The Qing Zhu in order to easy reference while reader and researchers read the paper.
