Many administrative regions in the empire were adjusted during Yongzheng period of Qing dynasty. After several reforms by Yongzheng emperor, the administrative areas in Shandong province were laid the basic geographic pattern to a extent, from Qianlong years to the late of the dynasty even to the Republic of China period. During Shunzhi and Kangxi before Yongzheng period, the administrative areas in Shandong province followed the administrative system of Ming dynasty. As the political and social stability, the unreasonableness of the old administrative system is more and more obvious during the course of economic recovered and progressed and the course of population increased, yet the occasion of reform had not come until Yongzheng years. After the reforms that happened in the 2nd year、7th year、12th year and 13th year of Yongzheng, the administrative system of Shandong province contained 10 fu in the Qianlong years. Three high-class governors played important roles in the process of administrative region reform of Shandong in Yongzheng years.Chapter One:A reform chareged by Shiguan Chen. Tian reformed the Fu and Zhi Li Zhou structure in the province after Chen, Tian reduced the area of some Fu, and increased the quantity of Zhi Li Zhou. During Tian’s presidency, he also changed the form of Dao in Shandong province.Chapter Three:the reforms charged by Shijun Wang. Wang played an very important role in the reform of administrative zone of Shandong. His reform could be happened in many styles, such as changed the government station, setted up new countries, abolished the Zhi Li Zhou and Wei Suo. Through Wang’s reform, the basic administrative pattern had been laid in the Qing dynasty.In the last part, I will have a summary about the administrative region reform during Yongzheng years and draw my conclusion. My conclusion is that, the act of state of administrative region reform and the physical truth must be combined. Only to do this, it can be ensure the national interests.
