Yu Wanchun “Stanley and Livingstone”,as one of sequel book of the "Water Margin",Because of the connation aspect that Yu Wanchun is hostile to the heroes in Water Margin,since its publication, this book has received a lot of positive and negative evaluation, but he is still advocating loyalty as the main body of his creative thinking.This paper based on “Stanley and Livingstone " text and combined with the author Yu Wan Chun’s life experience and the era of “Stanley and Livingstone " creation background. He analyzed objectively the thought content and the culture vuale.The paper mainly divides into four chapters.The first chapter is about the auther and version in “Stanley and Livingstone” Author and Version. Its analysis focus on Yu Wanchun’s thought concept and impact of his special experience when he followed his father to suppress rebellion on his creation. And he put more than ten versions in order and give comment on the merits and demerits of different kinds of version of the” Stanley and Livingstone”.The second chapter is about the thought connation of ” Stanley and Livingstone” which focuses on the inheritance and interpreting of loyalty thoughts in The Water Margin, at the same time, it gives deep analysis about the similarities and difference between The Water Margin, also the expression of recommending on the use of legal governance of the country and strengthening the thought of national weapon construction.It emphatically analyzes the embodiment of Raytheon belief and worship of Guan Yu in the novel.The third chapter is about the value of atr in ” Stanley and Livingstone”.In terms of the characterization creation, the novel reflects the art technique of heterogeneous isomorphism, Confucianism and Taoism all to men, and admiration on females.In terms of the arrangement of strucure, it points out the overall structure and local characteristics of the novel.While as the plot aspects it mainly keeps the inheritance and use of the method of” to snatch the womb and change the bone " and “no sooner do we get out of one trouble than down comes another”The fourth chapter is about the acceptance and influence in” Stanley and Livingstone”.This chapter analyzes the novel creation under the influence of”Anti The Water Margin”and the opera adaptation and creation condition which is based on The Water Margin.It analyzed and the similarities and difference between drama in ideological content and artistic features.
