Zuo huang is an important opera writers in mid Qing dynasty, mainly had two kind of legendary opera. The content, expression of thoughts, selection system all along with the wave of mid Qing era. His works are not only the best, but also has a tenacious vitality of the stage. Unfortunately, although often Zuo Huang’s legendary drama as testified that cited in academic writing, but, so far, his legendary drama research has not yet been carried out. This essay first time carries on Zuo Huang’s legendary opera as the research object, from family life, literary friends, the legendary creation thought and artistic point of view.In the first chapter, according to "Lan Gui Xian", "Gui Hua Ta",raw data of local history and precious materials located in National Library to make textual researches on Huang’s family life, literature on profile. First time textually researched the rich relatively about Huang’s ancestors, and make a broke through on Zuo Huang and Shen Qifeng’s literature friendship.The second chapter mainly explains the Zuo Huang’s ideological content of his Legend. According to different subjects, two legendaries consideration alone on their ideological content. "Lan Gui Xian" is intended to form filial piety, present not single thoughtful, but neo-confucianism thought, the seed of filial piety thought and so on are embedded. The "Gui Hua Ta" is followed era culture to create "self in the play" style, like a play with a biography. At the same time, the Chinese immortals way of thinking which constantly related with the classical Chinese opera, has a profound influence on Zuo Huang’s two legendary.The third chapter mainly studys on Huang’s legendary artistic creation.On his unique of characterization,field form and the legendary system.
