Asa relatively stable emotional self, self-esteem in the form of deep-seated state of mindin the psychological structure, directly restricts the emotions and feelings of thepeople, and indirectly affect people’s behavior and activities of motivation, whichaffects the whole mental outlook of the people. Closely related to self-esteem andinterpersonal relationships of the individual, social adaptation, and the individual’scognitive, emotional, motivational, moral and social behavior, and so has a broad andimportant impact.College students’ self-esteem by the family and school factors, is an important part ofschool mental health education efforts need to focus on Vocational and TechnicalCollege especially private higher vocational college students self-esteempsychological need to focus attention and study. In this study, the use of literatureresearch, psychological measurement method, group counseling interventionexperiments, first a more comprehensive review of the results of previous studies,study the overall status of self-esteem and related concepts, self-esteem, theconditions and characteristics of college students self-esteem influencing factors andthe role and group counseling theory and research carried out a wide range ofcombing and summary, on this basis, successfully designed two sets of features forvocational and Technical College, and psychological education specific reference thevalue effectively enhance students’ self-esteem group counseling program.
