The purpose of this paper is to analyze three typical adverbials in Chaoyangdialect, i.e.呾[t],喏[no] and哩[li]. After deeply analyzes their syntactic,semantic and pragmatic features, this paper try to figure out the compatibility andincompatibility issues between each adverbials, expecting to explain theirgrammatical rules thoroughly and reasonably.Chapter One of this paper mainly summarizes the results of correlational studiesand points out the necessity of doing further research. From Chapter Two to ChapterFour, this paper analyzes three adverbials one by one. By defining the research objects,locating the syntactic positions, analyzing the sentence functions and generalizing thepragmatic functions, the practical usages of these adverbials in Chaoyang dialect aremore and more explicit. Besides, for the regular usages of哩[li] in compoundsentences, Chapter Four also discusses the relationship between clause with哩[li]and the clause before or follow it. Base on the thoroughly comprehension of theseadverbials, Chapter Five summarizes the differences and similarities among them bythe use of comparative method, then extracts the semantic features of each adverbials,and analyzes the compatibility and incompatibility issues among those features, inorder to explain the co-occurrence of these adverbials in a reasonable way. The finalchapter concludes the results have been made in the previous chapters and points outthe deficiency of this paper in the hope of urge the study of these adverbials more andmore subtilized and scientific.
