Research On Chinese Democratic Socialist Party: 1945-1949

The China Democratic Socialist Party(CDSP) was a comparatively active force in China’s potical stage after the vivotory of the Anti-Japannese War. In August1946, the CDSP was formed at Shanghai, with the merger of the former Chinese National Socialist Party(CNSP) and the overseas Chinese Democratic Constitutionalist Party(CDPC), which were belonged to the school of Kang You-wei&Liang Qi-chao. During1945-1949, the CDSP was active to participate in many political activity, such as intervening conflict between KMT and CPC, improving the home policital envrionment becoming more piece and democratic, yet such endeavor was defeated at last, because of the objective envrionment and the CDSP internal reasons. Even now, we also realize the active function which the CDSP had made, and today, we make some conclusion on the CDSP’s ideas on " democratic politics" and "socialism", which can get some suggesiton to constructing China’s democratic politics and national plotical system.This paper has six chapters, which pay more attention to the evolvement of the CDSP, its organization, political theory, mainly political activity, and its last end-result based on historical study, and the most important attention are paid to the CDSP’s ideas on "democratic politics" and "socialism". It’s wish to get some objective, intact, actual knowledge on the CDSP by this study.Chapter one is introduction, which concludes some literature review, research method and frame. Chapter two is on the historical evolvement of the CDSP and the operation of its organizaiton, which mainly consists of the origin of its organiztion and idea, the time background of its formation, and its operation. Chapter three is the inroduction of the CDSP’s theory, such as the nation set-up, political idea, economic idea, opinion about education&culture, strategy on diplomatism, and the way on how to realize the "democratic socialist". Chapter four studies on the CDSP’s mainly political activity during1945-1949, aiming to open out the transformation of its policital opinion and standpoint. Chapter five point out how the CDSP became a "political vase" of KMT, that the CDSP also made more cost. And at the same time, the main leader of CDSP, Zhang Jun-mai and Zhang Dong-sun also dropped out the history stage. Chapter six, is the last, which make some conclusion and suggesiton on improve China’s plotical democration and modernization. And it also point the validity and rationality of "China choose the CPC".
