The acquisition of specific verb-form classifier is always a difficulty forIndonesian students. The high frequency of using specific verb-form classifier inChinese language makes itself the most important part of speech. Specific verb-formclassifier is one category of verb-form classifier,and scholars make research tospecific verb-form classifiers in various perspectives and levels, however scholarspay less attention to specific verb-form classifiers.When taking Chinese as a secondlanguage,I found that Indonesian students have made some mistakes while acquiringChinese specific verb-form classifiers,reducing the teaching efficiency of Chineselanguage.This paper,basing on quantitive and quantitative analysis,making questionnairesto60Indonesian students at different levels, analyzing data by SSPSsoftware,summaries the qua status of Chinese specific verb-form classifiers andreasons of making mistakes on Chinese specific verb-form classifiers including theinfluence of negative transfer of mother tongue,the target rule generalization,theinfluence of class teaching and improper arrangement of teaching material.Upon the mistakes and causes of mistakes for Indonesian students, I proposerelevant suggestions on teaching including promote initiative of teachers,arrangeacquisition of specific verb-form classifier in order,apply the teaching method ofcomparing discrimination and the teaching principle of proceeding in orderly steps. Ihope this paper would assist Indonesian students in learning Chinese specificverb-form classifiers and provide some reference to teaching Chinese to internationalstudents.
