On Ge Shui - Ping 's Novels

Ge Shuiping, from Qinxian of Shanxi Province, is a new talent writer among literarywriters of Shanxi. She is a multifaceted writer, various styles are involved. At the initial start ofwriting, she practiced writing poetry and prose, and then she turned to play writing. At last, shesucceeded in the creation of novel. Since the first published novel in2004, her novels havedisplayed the mature face. One out after whose works have sprung up successive like theblowout.And she has created nearly40novels so far which gives priority to with short storiesand novellas. The Shouting Hill won the fourth " Lu Xun’s Literary Award ".Most of her novels are about the country life. Ge Shuiping has a constant attention to thepeople living at the bottom of the society. Thus figures and stories in her novels are all abouther hometown---Shanshen Ao. Ge Shuiping describes her hometown with all her passion in life.As a result, her novels are rich in local flavor and poetic aesthetic feeling. Ge Shuiping is adaughter of the countryside, a daughter of the earth, so her works have relation with farmers,and the novels are about the things that happening to farmers. Her works are based on both thelocal and the reality at the same time, and with her pursuit of art, overall planning. Here thestory some intriguing, like the sea waves, some like flowing water is drunk. Language andpoetic aesthetics, phrasing unique aesthetic feeling, like a scene in front when tracing scenesynthesis, characters and language and natural, not forced analogy.
