In Zhang Ling’s novels, the main feature of her creations is telling story,her stories base on a hundred years, and thousands of miles, describing people’s love,depicting human soul; deducing family rise and fall with historical situation, andintegrating local culture and foreign style, fully demonstrated the literaturecharacteristics of new immigrant culture.As a writer who has fully female consciousness, Zhang Ling is good at usingwomen’s acute and delicate to reflect women’s survival situation, and writing the storyof women. She shapes a variety of female images which have distinctive culture,reflecting consistently female center pattern, and showing her deep concern andunique reflection on women. This paper attempts to base on Zhang Ling’s uniqueidentity as a new immigrant female writer, with her women’s emotional space as thebreakthrough point, and according to women’s self consciousness as the supportingpoint, systematically structured and research the female writing in Zhang Ling’snovels. The paper thus divided into three parts:The first chapter，mainly discusses the survival plight female faced in ZhangLing’s novels. As a female writer who focuses on the female’s fate, Zhang Lingalways uses the female’s story to write novels. She always put the female in a difficultpredicament of life, in the net of fate which is unable to escape, women face thehardships of survival, incomplete love and marriage and the lost of family affection,they suffer pains, continue to compromise and struggle, showing infinite power invarious predicaments. Zhang Ling inspects with an equal attitude to these women’slife, truly represents the real picture of women’s life, and reveals the buried deep inthe female heart trauma.The second chapter, according to Zhang Ling’s self experience, studies thefemale’s self-salvation in the novel. Zhang Ling tells the story from history to present,the female characters in her novels include traditional female who live in the end ofthe Qing Dynasty, and female immigrants who live in the modern contemporarysociety, they reflects the change of women in history for centuries: by the accessories who obey the male and abandon themselves to become the awakened one who rushout of family for freedom, and then become the individual who pursue the cause andtheir own. In different background, Zhang Ling and the female in her novels all have a“self-help” faith, choose to go on a self seeking road in different ways.The third chapter，mainly discusses the different kind of writing strategy in herfemale story. Living in a foreign environment, Zhang Ling has a new perspective tolook back to her native story. She focused the historical events on female’s life, letwomen to become the subject of history, and the protagonist in gender relations, anduse the women’s stories to interpret history and shape male. In addition, Zhang Lingput the Western Christian culture into the women’s story. She takes the mysterywomen reduced to real ordinary women in real life, showing the woman under the veilas the value of individual human beings, and she also uses the warmth of Christianlove to save women in pains.
