A Study Of Taoism In Nanzhao And Dali

Taoism is one of China’s native religion borning in the late DongHan Dynasty and the core of Chinese traditional culture. Its influence was extensive and profound, including literature, art, customs and so on.our Yunnan provice closeing to the area of the birthplace of Taoism (heming mountain of Dayi of chengdu) was influented by taoism. Nanzhao and Dali countries are two independent,continuous regime ruling Yunnan, also a very important and special period in Yunnan.The research of Taoism of Nanzhao,dali countries have three main aspects to considee:First:a comprehensive display of Nanzhao,Dali countries’Taoism status; second:the characteristics of Nanzhao,Dali countrys’Taoism;Third:riching the research of Yunnan Taoism, even religious studies.This paper discusses mainly from three aspects. They are "Overview about Nanzhao,Dali countries’Taoism","Introuduction and Development of Nanzhao,Dali countries’Taoism" and "the influence of Nanzhao,Dali countries’Taoism". this paper discusses mainly from the main temples,Taoist priest, Taoism ceremony and Taoist to present an overall outlook of Taoism.Through the "Introuduction and Development of Nanzhao,Dali countrys’Taoism",we can be in-depth more to understand the Taoism.This paper probed into Taoism introduced into Yunnan’s paths in Nanzhao,Dali countrys period. Taoism was introduced mainly through the Communication between Yunnan and mainland. Discussion of the relationship between Buddhism and Taoism,not only did show the Buddhism and Taoism fighting with each other,but also depicted the history of Taoism’s development.in the early of Nanzhao,Taoism’s status of development was better than that of Buddhism.But in the late,Taoism’s development not as good as Buddhism.The attitude of dominator is the main reason of the development of Nanzhao, Dali countries’Taoism. Relationship between the rulers and Taoism can be said that when rulers value Taoism,Taoism will be prosperous.On the contrary,Taoism will be declined.
