With the development of positive psychology, all walks of life pay more and moreattention for it and think the center of study psychology should be from psychologicalproblems to positive psychology. The junior middle school stage is in adolescence andbelongs to transitional period from childhood to adult. It is also the critical period ofphilosophy and world view developed. So develop positive psychological quality isimportant to human development.In the study, junior school student is the study object. We have modified the positivepersonality questionnaire and examined the reliability and validity of scale. Next weexamined the status quo and characteristics of positive psychological quality in juniorschool students. The results are:The study shows that the revised scale has good reliability and validity and it is aneffect tool for measuring the positive psychological quality in junior school students.Each factor score of the positive psychological quality in junior school students fromhigh to low is transcendence, temperance, humanity, wisdom and knowledge, courageand justice.Comparing of different genders, grades, area, the only child and performance on scoreof the positive psychological quality in junior school students, the results show: it hassignificant genders’ difference and girls are more than boys in score; There aresignificant differences in grades and the different grade has different characteristics.;In different area, significant differences exist and shanghai is more than Hunan inscore. The study show no significant differences exist in the only child; the score ofthe student in different grades from high to low is: excellent, good, moderate, bad andhave significant differences.
