Jishan Yin is a special Governor General during the reign of Yongzheng andQianlong Emperor, who was always rewarded by Yongzheng, and cautioned byQianlong. At the same time, Qianlong made him be in the chair of the high officer ofthe frontier. Facing the contradictory relationship between the monarch and hissubjects, Yin still worked cautiously and conscientiously as a governor until he wasold and tired.He had a successful official career during his youth, however, it remainedstagnant for many years. He was a person who was in Manchu while had ordinaryskills in horsemanship, and who was fond of studying Han’s culture as well astreated poems as his treasure. Yin had a long tenure in South of China during thattime, he built a good relationship between refined scholars and himself, so hisartistic operation official achievements were manifested in South. He also hadofficial achievements in northwest and southwest in China as a high officer of thefrontier.The aim of the article is to study Jishan Yin’s history, which was from1695to1771, especially studied the history from1723when he had a successful candidate inthe highest imperial examinations to his death. And the article will present a intactperson through the relationship between Yin’s family and imperial household, hisofficial achievements and cultural achievements.
