XinXu is a historical story collection compiled by Liu Xiang in the Xihandynasty. Article in the Xihan dynasty, the content of Xinxu is complex and rich. Thebook is edited by the collection of the biography of pre-Qin. All previous dynastiesbiography work mostly in the pre-Qin thinkers to accept the Confucian class, becausethere are considerable in argumentation. In this book, Liu Xiang expressed manyaspects of the new academic and political thought. In addition, the book using thematerial is connected with the later novels. Today, the reasearch about XinXu is not anew study. In this area, there are many scholars has obtained achievemwnt. Theresearch for the book has mainly been focused on its ideological content,its character,artistic features. But there is the lack of systematic and deep study on its materialsources and stylistic feature. This study is mainly based on the text itself,starting fromthe text content, mining source material, for its characteristics from material, explorethe literature value. The thesis is mainly divded ito three parts:The prologue mainly introduces the history of this research and the reason tochoose this subject.The content of Chapter I is about the materials sources. Trace XinXu led by theclassics, history, ancient books, such as material, through the comparative analysis,summarized Liu Xiang processing, the main method of using the story materials.The second chapter is about the new novel features of the XinXu story. From thethree elements of the novel, character analysis, plot and environment. But two booksreferring to incompletion of novel factors, has not yet been clearly reflected in awhole chapter, only exists in the form of a story, so can only say it is a novel factor,but can’t say it is novel.The third chapter: The research about its narrative mode. First examine thepreface to the new narrative history of pair of reasoning, to bear, and then analyze thematerial reason, narrative technique in the concrete application.
