Robert Alexander Shumann, the19th-century musician of the earlyRomantic period, one of the greatest and most representative composers ofthe German Romantic era. He has promoted the development of music in theRomantic period and his music spirit has affected the entire Romantic period.The Piano Sonata No.2in G-minor, Op.22is the most popular workamong Shumann’s three Sonatas. The author will feel Shumann’s creativestyle and unique charm through the analysis and study of this work. Thewhole paper is discussed by dividing into three chapters:In the first chapter, the writer will review the whole Shumann’s life andmusic features of the19th-century Romantic era and then meticulously relateand analyze creation characters in Shumann’s piano music.In the second chapter, the author will carefully expound what she haslearned and experienced from this work when she plays and systematicallyelaborate on the versions performed by several Masters.In the third chapter, the writer will narrate Shumann on the impact offuture generations, cherish the memory of this great musician and appreciateprofound are treasures he has left.
