Evaluation Of Anal Function In Patients With Low Rectal Cancer Undergoing Prophylactic Ileostomy

Objective: The feasibility and consistency of the evaluation of anal function by four kinds of scale for low rectal cancer patients after preserving anal operation and finding out factors affecting the anal function.Methods: Selected about 89 cases of rectal patients in October 2013 to December2015 of general surgery in Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University(Huangdao) and they have had radical resection of rectal cancer + prophy lacticcolostomy and they have putted the ileumcolostomy back after this surgery.Through Wexner scale, Vaizey scale,Pescatori scale, AMS scale to evaluate the anal functionat 1, 3, 6 and 12 months after operation.Results:(1)TNM stage, the scores of those patients in Iphrase, IIphrase, IIIphrase,IVphrase evaluated by four scale had no statisticalsignificance(P>0.05).(2) The anal function needs longer time to recover and the anal function recover worse when the tumors location near the anus.(3)Most patientsËŠanus control ability of looses tools has recovered at 3 months after surgery and the ability to control exhaust has recovered at 6months after surgery.(4)4 kinds of scale have a good correlation.Conclusion: Wexner scale, Vaizey scale, Pescatori scale, AMS scale have good consistency and feasibility in assessing the patientsËŠ anal function.
