Hospice care is a comprehensive health care services provided by the hospice agency for terminal-stage patients and their families to alleviate the physiological and psychological pain. It focuses on ease treatment, include performs life care, medical care, psychological care, social services, and other care activities. The purpose is to improve the quality of life in the terminal stage of patients, and help them go through the life in peace and serene. Hospice care appeared in our country in the 1980s, and obtained the attention of the academic circle and medical institutions. However, as a matter of social undertakings, its construction lags far behind the needs of social development. Until now, only developed cities of our country has hospice care, hospice care institutions is difficult to find in remote areas. Although some hospice agencies have set up in some hospitals, the development is still facing many restricting factors. Overall, the idea, scale, quality, system and operation mode of hospice care in our country still exists a big gap between the developed countries. First, after nearly 30 years of slow development, the defect of the system model has become the biggest weakness of hospice career development in our country. Second, hospice care in our country is still lack of effective operation mode, and the main source of funds is still supported by the government and patient. Besides,it also lacks the theoretical model, on the one hand, lack the modern theory of hospice care and hospice full guidance; on the other hand, the theoretical model introduced from the west have not combined with traditional Chinese cultural concept to form a suitable practical theory system in our country. This problem results in some ethical confusion among patients, families and medical workers, which not only influence the daily work, but also restricted the quality of hospice care. With the accelerated aging in our country, the social demand for hospice care will grow rapidly.A comprehensive understanding of the status quo of hospice care in our country, and a study of the bottleneck factor of its development is the foundation to promote the development of hospice care in China. Practice problems rooted in the theory problems, the problems that hospice care faced with about system, scale, quality, and operation are directly or indirectly related to ethics of death and service to the terminal-stage patients. So, this article study the ethic problem faced with hospice care form the perspective of social system, patients themselves, families psychological, health care management, transformation of traditional ethics. Through the analysis and research of those ethical problems, try to build an ethics framework of hospice care which with respect as the core, alleviate the pain as the means, care as method, in order to provide some references for the healthy development of hospice care in China.
